To all my beautiful readers,

I received a piece of advice today that really changed my perspective on things. It made me genuinely smile and it's a little life lesson that I thought I'll share with you all.

That lesson is that, it's actually okay for you to care about something or someone as much as you do. Regardless of the circumstances. Here's the thing, we've all faced situations where we've been hurt, we've been battered down and we think things just cannot get any worse. When that happens, we always end up telling ourselves that we care entirely too much and maybe if we didn't, it wouldn't be as painful. We have other people telling us the exact same thing, telling us to stop caring and be strong instead. What I learned is that, strength doesn't come from a person changing themselves or becoming a harsher person, strength comes from them caring about the situation, from being forgiving, from accepting things as they come and facing those difficult situations anyway.

Truth is, people are going to hurt you. Certain situations are going to break you. Life is going to turn you on your head when you least expect it. That doesn't mean you should change yourself though, you can learn from it, grow as a person. But it doesn't mean you should change all the beautiful values and qualities that make you, you. Most importantly, it doesn't mean you should stop caring. It's really okay for things to not go your way, sometimes it may seem unfair, but that doesn't mean what's around the corner isn't going to change your life for the better.

Even though you've faced these difficult circumstances, it hasn't destroyed you. That's because you're better than that. You're stronger than that. It takes a lot of heart to forgive people, to not hold a grudge, to want the best for people that may have hurt you.

You care too much, about the people that are in your life and the people that you loved in the past, and that's okay. It's not your weakness, it's your strength. Do not let your negative experiences turn your heart into stone. Learn from it, let it transform you into a better person. Everything that happens in life are learning opportunities.

So keep being you, keep loving, keep caring, keep being strong.

Here's the advice I received - 'Never stop caring and loving with that big, beautiful heart of yours. Because for the right person, you won't be too much. You will be the perfect amount.'

Love always,

Postive vibes

Happy Monday my gorgeous lovelies!

I always count Mondays as a new start, whether it's to get back into a routine from a busy weekend or to start something new that I always told myself that I would, it's always a good day for me to look for inspiration and begin thinking positively. So today I thought I'll do just that and share my tips on how to stay positive and be inspired, because for some of us,  happy thoughts do not always come that easily.

1. Surround yourself with things that give you aesthetic pleasure - My personal space is my room, which I've decorated with flowers, bright lights, candles, pictures of inspirational quotes and just bits and pieces that make me happy. Providing yourself with an environment where you feel relaxed, and provides you with inspiration is a sure way of making yourself feel positive automatically.

2. Read a book/blog/magazine daily. Reading everyday is such a good habit that not everyone has time for anymore with the busy lifestyles we have. But in the famous words of Dr. Suess - 'The more you read, the more things you know, the more that you learn, the more places you'll go'.

3. Download some Apps that give you inspiration, whether it's style, interior or fitness inspo -Pinterest and Instagram anyone? I follow some amazing accounts on Instagram for my daily dose of inspiration.

4. Eat healthy and begin an active lifestyle - I can't stress this enough! Unfortunately this is the one habit that I haven't been following lately, between all the junk food I've had and the lack of exercise over the last few weeks, I have been feeling sluggish, tired and overworked. But no more, I speak from experience when I say that not only do these two things make you feel amazing about yourself, but exercising everyday is such a good stress reliever, one that I have been missing deeply and that I cannot wait to get back!

5. Start a new hobby - Don't make excuses. if you want to start dancing, then do. Ever wanted to learn how to play guitar? Take a class or better yet, teach yourself. Don't keep putting off the things you told yourself you would do.

6. Pamper yourself - After all, everyone loves nail art right?

7. Do something creative - Paint, take the time to start on some DIY projects and follow through with them.

8. Take the time to count your blessings and reflect back on all the good things you have in your life at the end of each day - We always tend to think of the negatives more than the positives, but thinking about the good in your life makes a massive difference.

9. Watch entertaining Youtube videos - I love watching Youtube tutorials and just hilarious videos in general. It always makes me happy and distracts me from any negativity that I may have been feeling.

10. Surround yourself with people that love you and make you feel awesome - Life is far too short to be around people that bring you down.

Just remember that it's never too late to start doing the things that you want to do, and life is far too short to regret the chances and opportunities that you didn't take. Do what makes YOU happy, not what others say will make you happy.

Love always,
Neth
